Understanding the new VISTA Foundation Frameworks (Every Tuesday starting 15th November 2005 - Canberra only)
We are running a series of free workshops for interested developers covering
some of the brand new frameworks coming out for .NET developers. Areas to be
covered include:
-
Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) previously known as AVALON.
These sessions include working through XAML and Sparkle examples to get WPF applications
running, discovering graphics support, plus discussion of interoperability with
Windows forms.
-
Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) previously known as INDIGO.
These sessions will cover how to build network services and improve
communication capabilities with the WCF. Also how to migrate or interoperate
existing DCOM and .NET remoting applications to WCF.
-
Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF)
These sessions will cover details on how to utilise workflow technology within
an application.
Workshops are based on hands-on sessions deriving plenty of examples so you'll
need to already have knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET.
If you're interested in attending these FREE regular Tuesday night sessions
(6:00pm - 7:30pm) ring Athena on 02 6161 2200 to book your place. Previous
workshops have proven to be a great vehicle for knowledge transfer. Seating is
limited so its first in best dressed!
